From May to October, visits to the Dimaniyat Islands are limited to staying on the boat due to their protected status. However, you can still enjoy the islands' beauty by taking a boat tour and participating in snorkeling and diving activities. These activities provide a unique opportunity to explore the rich marine life surrounding the islands. At Blue Wave Oman, we prioritize responsible and sustainable tourism to help preserve this natural wonder for future generations to come.
Our trips depart from Al Mouj Marina, conveniently located in Muscat, Oman. You can easily reach the marina by car or taxi, and it's only a 15-minute drive from Muscat International Airport. Follow the Sultan Qaboos Highway towards the Al Mouj Muscat development and look for the signs to the marina. Al Mouj Marina is also easily accessible from other areas in Muscat, including the city center and nearby hotels. Once you're at the marina, a variety of water activities await you, including snorkeling, diving and boat rentals.
While whale shark sightings in Muscat, Oman cannot be guaranteed, the best time to spot them is during their migration season, which typically runs from September to November. As a responsible and licensed operator, Blue Wave Oman offers a chance to participate in a snorkeling experience with these gentle giants, subject to their availability and weather conditions.
